Meet in car park on B4494, 3 miles south of Wantage (SU 417,841). From M4 J13 take A34 north, after 500 yards take slip road then turn left onto Graces Lane; pass Oxford Road and Green Lane, then take left fork onto School Road. After approx 1½ miles turn right onto B4494; continue for 7½ miles towards Wantage. There is a cross-roads sign and a Ridgeway fingerpost; there is no car park sign but there are parking areas on both sides of the road. Third section of Ridgeway (linear) walk. Car shuttle to start of walk. Walk includes Wayland Smithy, Uffington Castle and White Horse, and an afternoon diversion to a tea shop. Bring packed lunch and drinks for the day. Optional evening meal. Let Chris know by Wed 11th April if you intend to come.

Walk goes through Finchampstead Ridges NT and Blackwater Valley.
This is a figure of eight walk (3½/ 7½ miles). Prompt afternoon start required.

Meet at the Waterside Centre car park Thames Valley Park Drive, (SU 734 740) (RG6 1PQ). This can be found at the Reading end of the A329(M), when the dual carriageway ends at the roundabout take the only exit (right) and the car park is first left. If there is no space in the car park you can park on the road just beyond the car park. Pub Lunch is available at the Plowden Arms, Reading Road (A4115),Shiplake Cross, (SU 765 784) (RG9 4BX). The walk takes in part of the Thames path with a couple of historic churches to view on route, it is mostly flat with only two stiles. There is the option of afternoon tea at Sonning lock in the afternoon.

The Squirrel is about a mile along this minor road on the left hand side.

Park in the Henley College Car Park, at the end of Tilebarn Close (SU 752, 823). Go through Henley, past the Town Hall, and up Gravel Hill. Turn left, (Paradise Road) and follow Deanfield Avenue. Turn right into Deanfield Road (beware of road humps) and Tilebarn Close is the 4th turning on the right.
It is a lovely walk with beautiful views of rolling countryside. Two hills and a couple of stiles.

At large roundabout, with The Bull on RHS, take 4th exit towards Swallowfield and Henry Street Garden Centre. After 200 yds, park in free car park on RHS opp houses. Meet at Mill End car park east of Henley upon Thames, near the foot of the Hambledon Valley (SU 784,855). The morning takes in a spectacular river crossing and a section of the Thames Path.
Lunch is in the River and Rowing Museum café in Henley (SU 767, 820).
The afternoon walk is slightly hillier, taking in fine views and woodland sections. An optional extension to Hambleden brings the total mileage up to 8 miles. Boots recommended as there may be some muddy bits.

The afternoon walk is slightly hillier, taking in fine views and woodland sections. An optional extension to Hambleden brings the total mileage up to 8 miles. Boots recommended as there may be some muddy bits.

Meet in the car park at Frensham Pond Visitor Centre (SU 845,405), just off Bacon Lane. Take the A287 south from Farnham through Millbridge village. After just over ½ mile take a right fork onto Bacon Lane and the car park is about ¾ mile along on the left. Lunch in the bar of Frensham Pond Hotel (SU 841, 399) (GU10 2QD)www.frenshampondhotel.co.uk, at the other end of Frensham Great Pond from the Visitor Centre car park, less than ½ mile away. Lovely, heathland and woodland walking around local ponds with 2 ridge walks as well! Optional afternoon tea at the Visitor Centre at end of walk. This is a figure of 8 walk with the longer section in the afternoon.
